Our third trip with the Doug and Julie group and as always the resort was excellent. Food, service, activities. BUT, this time, management let us down. We let them know when we requested our room that we needed a ground floor room based on some health issues. Also requested oceanview. We got the room on the second floor right under the hot tub. YOIKS. Since we enjoy the resort and felt it was not that big of an issue, we accepted the explanation that there were no 1st floor oceanview rooms available and that they cannot guarantee requests. Of course, anyone who has been to Desire would argue that the glorious view of other buildings roofs, pool, and palm trees stretches the definition of Oceanview. And the noise from the pumps and "activity" in the hottub (lol) made for a less than enjoyable room experience. We did request some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and received the standard "we do not guarantee requests".So, next year, the rate is going from $185 per person, to $240 per person. $110 dollars more per night. So, we guess we must say to Desire for the next group in July, concerning the $480 per .. "we do not guarantee requests".But seriously, we love the place, but they have priced themselves out of our vacation fund.Have a ball.Alice and Bob

We went to Desire for the first time at the end of August. We had a fantastic time! The staff was just amazing. So helpful and nice. The food actually surprised me since I've been to quite a few all-inclusive places in Mexico and have had mixed experiences. The restaurants were very good and the buffets were also really great. I wish I still had access to that breakfast .LOL. Overall, we both would highly recommend this place if you are considering this type of vacation. A tip would be to not assume everyone is into the lifestyle that goes to Desire. Many are just nudists. We recommend going to the disco or the rooftop hot tub area if you are truly looking to meet some people who are more than likely into swinging on some level. The beach was great! The beach beds very relaxing!

we have been two times and are back nov 23 2008 only one complaint is dont leave shoes and other things too long at the pool near closing down ( 4ish) as they seem to disapear we never had any other problems thoughanyone else there same time frame drop us an email

We really love this resort. I agree with the comment that they are pricing themselves out of a lot of peoples?s budgets. But, the food is good and we love the staff and contests. For the swingers the hot tub in the afternoons is a definate must.

We have been to verious clothing optional resorts: Caliente in Land O Lakes Florida, Club Orient at St. Martin, Hedo III and now thinking about Desire in Cancun Mexico. We are looking at February 26 thru March 5. Can anyone give us a little information: What type of room to ask for, Best way to get from the airport to the resort, etc? We love being Nude and we are, begining to adventure out a little more. Thanks,Fred and Paula

Comments on our first trip to Desire: the resort is remote, about 30 minutes from Cancun, so a taxi or rental car is necessary to do anything off the resort premises. We had a 2nd floor, garden view room; which was nice, but lacking in drawer space and not enough hangers; expect to pile clothes on top of the desk, table, etc. Daily maid service was excellent. Be prepared for lots of bugs?ants, mosquitoes and other tiny things that bite while you?re trying to relax. Food is good, but service was inconsistent, varying from good to fair, depending on where, when and level of activity. The website has a disclaimer about the restaurant schedules being ?subject to change? and that includes not being open at all when they are supposed to be. In general, the resort facilities are very nice, with the exception of the disco. It?s too small and should be remodeled. The platforms on the dance floor can be dangerous especially when you have a group up there all bumping around. The beach beds are great; but the beach and water is not as nice as what we experienced in Jamaica. Water sandals would be a good idea to deal with the rocks. Desire is probably not the best place to go for swinging activity; but if you?re looking for a smaller venue, to be nude in a pleasant environment, it will do.

Just thought we would give an over view while the resort is very clean the service is excellent food is to die for ,there is little or no atmosphere in the evenings unless you like going in the hot tub at 2am ,The disco is very dated and the music is that bad we only managed to stand it 2 nights out of the 8 we spent there .The bands were very good at the lobby bar but need to be on later as most people have dinner between 8 and 10 pm when they were on .I would say the mix between naturist and swingers is about 80 / 20 and there strict no rules of NO play on the beach and any where other than the hot tub area and play room which is situated behind the bar in the disco is strictly applied.I don't think we will return due the distance from the UK and not enough of a draw for us.to travel 10 and half hours on a plane.verdict 6 out of 10

My husband and I went to Desire back in Feb 2008 and booked through SDC. SDC was amazing. I'm the kind of traveler that asks a ton of questions and Claudia answered every single one of them and quickly. She was on top of all my reservations and alleviated every fear.The travel arrangements made by SDC from the airport were phenomenal and they didn't drive like maniacs.Desire is heaven on earth to me now. Any size, any age, any shape you .you'll feel the sexiest you have ever felt in your life. The swinger play was in full force, but that was because we went during a 'take over'. Highly recommended if you want a rompin good time. We never left the resort :). Relaxation, sensuality, .Desire really had everything we wanted and booking through SDC was hands down the best idea we had. We truly were taken care of.It is expensive to go to Desire, so about a year and a half we'll be able to afford it again. And I'm counting down the days.Desire used to have a website chat room but it seems they've taken it down. I had a lengthly review of the resort there. But bottom line: Food = excellent. Staff = FRIGGIN amazing. Room / Amenities = far beyond what we expected. Bugs = ONLY saw mesquitos at dusk, no ants. Weather = .perfect. Disco = blah, yeah I agree with others on this post. Jacuzzi at .= OH MY GOODNESS, and yes please :).
